The road here
I have fished since I was a kid. I grew up on the banks of the river Lot in Espalion, in Aveyron, drawn to the water and to everything living in it. I tried plenty of techniques before another guide put a fly rod in my hands. Since that revelation I have fished no other way: dry fly, nymph, wet fly, streamer. In 2020 I earned the BPJEPS, the French state diploma for professional fishing guides and instructors, in Lozère. Before that I spent fourteen years as a professional cook, a trade that took me all over France and beyond, showed me new rivers and made me adapt my technique to each of them. From cook to fishing guide is a short step: both trades run on the same fuel, sharing.
Argentina
Argentina came into my life fifteen years ago and never left it. I have been criss-crossing the country ever since; Spanish became my second language and the Andes my second playground. Today I design fishing trips to northern Patagonia with Patagonia Trashumante, who operate and guide on site with their team of licensed guides. I stay with my fishermen from the first day to the last: planning the trip, interpreting, coaching, the good moments around the table. I also chase the mythical golden dorado in the Argentine north (Corrientes, Salta and beyond) and keep scouting new destinations so I can offer them to fellow fly fishers.
What drives me
Passing on fly fishing and the values that come with it. Sharing what I know of these territories and my deep respect for rivers and the life they hold. Sending anglers home happy: that, to me, is what a good day looks like.
I run fly fishing courses and guided days on the rivers of Aveyron and Lozère, in southern France, after wild brown trout. Beginners learning their first casts and seasoned rods fine-tuning their technique both leave with something extra.
